Just a little history and a few of our projects over the past 55 years.
1971 - 1980
Receiving its State Charter in April of 1971, Dallas Door & Supply Company opened its doors selling wood doors and particle board. Outgrowing its facilities twice in this span, DDS made significant moves to accommodate the growing market.
1981-1996
After securing additional warehouse space, DDS acquired machinery to begin prepping its wood doors to accommodate project work in 1981. Adding hardware sales in 1983, hollow metal sales in 1992 and a full metal shop in 1996, DDS could now offer a full scope of material and service to our customers.
1997-2009
Growth and expansion through the early 90’s lead DDS to a pillar of it potential still utilized today. 9009 Chancellor Row was transformed into over 50,000 sq. ft of office building, warehouse, and shops. Installation was formed in 1999 followed by a Direct Sales team added in 2003, furthering the outreach of DDS to the metroplex construction market.
2010-2019
Continued growth lead DDS to purchase and additional 50,000+ sq. ft of office and warehouse space directly next to its existing building in 2010. The next decade would bring a boom in employees, sales, vendors, and customers spanning from Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, Maryland, New Mexico, and beyond.
2020-Present
Dallas Door & Supply Co. expanded project teams and Fleet to accommodate growth. Installation increases fleet, group size, and management to accommodate DDS installation footprint and delivery volume. The wood door production also gains additions of a complete new line of KVAL machinery to maximize efficiency and a change in operations to now include in house prefinishing capabilities.
